Jane Goodall Institute India and Museum of Solutions to host a unique exhibition to celebrate Dr. Jane Goodall’s legacy

Mumbai :  The Museum of Solutions (MuSo), a unique children’s museum in Mumbai, in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute India will host the first-of-its-kind exhibition on the life & times of Dr Jane Goodall.  Titled “Celebrating Jane,” this unique exhibition will provide an immersive insight into the life and work of the world-renowned ethologist and conservationist, Dr. Jane Goodall; known for her lifelong research on wild chimpanzees in Gombe, Tanzania. This travelling exhibition marks the first official showcase in India of Dr. Jane Goodall’s extraordinary journey.

As part of this exhibition, JGII & MuSo are recreating Jane’s tent to provide children and visitors a captivating experience on her daily life with her chimpanzee friends. These wild chimpanzees take centre stage at the Celebrating Jane exhibition, which offers profound insights into Jane Goodall’s life and the significant impact she has created through her youth program ‘Roots & Shoots’. The JGII & MuSo collaboration aims to establish a true-life connection between Jane’s legacy and the visitors on a more personal level thereby making her story more relatable.

According to Tanvi Jindal Shete, Founder of Museum of Solutions, “This exhibition embodies our mission to spark curiosity and foster a love for nature among young minds. By sharing Dr Jane Goodall’s inspiring journey, we aim to inspire students, kids, and families to become passionate advocates for wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship. Dr Goodall’s life and legacy teach us about the enormous challenges she overcame to revolutionise our understanding of animals and humans. Through interactive narratives and hands-on activities, children will learn about her incredible work and feel empowered to take actionable steps towards a sustainable future. This collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute India offers an enriching educational experience that celebrates a true icon and motivates the next generation of changemakers.”

Children and visitors will have the opportunity to explore an entire floor dedicated to Dr. Jane Goodall’s extraordinary journey through five distinct zones: Introduction to Jane, Early Life, Life in Gombe, Celebrating Jane, and the Chimpanzee Guided Zone. The exhibit also delves into the global impact of the Jane Goodall Institute and the Roots & Shoots program in India, which empowers young people to make a positive difference in their communities. This exhibition will also introduce the children and visitors to Roots & Shoots ‘Oceans Are Us’ program. This allows young and curious minds to explore, learn, collaborate, plan and act towards creating a lasting change, one that helps restore the health and natural splendour of our oceans.
