‘Jashn-e-Naubahar’ at Begum Azeezun Nisa Hall

Aligarh : Residents of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) girls’ hostel, Begum Azeezun Nisa Hall donned cultural attires and performed  recreation and cultural activities while bidding  farewell to the final year students with the Hall’s Annual Dinner in the ‘Jashn-e-Naubahar’ event.

On the occasion, Prof Subuhi Khan (Provost, Begum Azeezun Nisa Hall) said, “After more than two years of pandemic restrictions, getting back to university sounds like a treat. Life is finding its way back to what it was once before. I am sure all of you must have missed the physical hugs with best friends, sitting right next to seniors and juniors on the steps of hall building and walking out of rooms without the masks. As the university opens, keep abiding with the public health safeguards we have committed to”.

The programme also featured a small fete, a fashion show of cultural clothes and skit on the theme, ‘Save Trees’.

Meanwhile, the residential students of the Hall who completed their MBBS and BDS courses were honoured with batches bearing the abbreviated title of doctors.

Hall functionaries, Dr Fauzia Faridi, Rafeeda Siddiqui, Dr Nazia, Dr Hushnud, Dr Ghazala Yasmeen, Dr Rabab Khan, Dr Zeba Azmat, Dr Zarrin Imran Dr Mohd Nazim, Dr Arifa Shaheen and Dr Munazza coordinated the programme and motivated the students for a productive year.
