JDA hoists 75 Tirangas to celebrate 75 glorious years of Independence

 

JAMMU : Jammu Development Authority today launched Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav from its HQ Vikas Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu.

The function commenced with singing of National Song, Vandematram, followed by release of 75 tri coloured balloons in the air by Pankaj Magotra, Vice chairman JDA amidst 75 synchronized clapping by JDA staff. The balloons carrying a felicitation message.

Speaking on this occasion, the JDA Vice-Chairman informed that besides lighting of the Vikas Bhawan building, 75 flags have been installed atop JDA Head Office marking 75th anniversary of Indian Independence.

He also recalled the sacrifices made by our Freedom Fighters and impressed upon the employees to perform their duties with full dedication and honesty as a mark of service and respect to the nation.

The VC, JDA also announced a free of cost monthly Medical/Health Check-up for the employees by reputed doctors as part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations.

He also announced an in-house singing competition of National Song and Anthem in two categories for the JDA employees and their family members.

Prizes and certificates will be given to the winners of each group to be decided by the panel of Judges.

The JDA employees also presented a few cultural items highlighting the national spirit and fervor on the occasion.

Sahil Jandyal, Secretary JDA presented the vote of thanks.

The function concluded with singing of National Anthem. Besides, JDA employees, Director Land Management, Superintending Engineer, FA/CAO, Chief Town Planner, Executive Engineers, Asstt. Executive Engineers, Tehsildars and employees of adjoining offices were present on this occasion in large numbers.
