Jikyeong Kang to Lead AACSB Board of Directors
Tampa: AACSB International (AACSB), the world’s largest business education association and business school accreditor, is honored to announce its 2021-22 board chair, Jikyeong Kang, from the Philippines’ Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Kang currently serves as the president, dean, and MVP professor of marketing at AIM and will lead the AACSB board of directors during the upcoming year to advance the quality of business education globally.

We look forward to her inspiring and thoughtful leadership as we focus on driving positive societal impact and furthering AACSB’s diversity and inclusion efforts, worldwide.”
In addition to her elected role as board chair of AACSB, Kang serves as the first female president of AIM, a position she assumed in 2015, which has been extended through 2025. Kang is recognized for her efforts to expand global diversity and inclusion initiatives and is a valued thought leader in how business and business education can create positive societal impact. Her experience in these areas will guide her and the AACSB board of directors as they further these initiatives in business education, regionally and globally.
Kang’s previous leadership roles include director of postgraduate center, MBA programs, and the DBA program at Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom. Kang is a fellow of the International Academy of Management and has taught at top business schools around the world as a visiting professor. She is the recipient of numerous grants and national and international awards for her research and leadership and has served in previous positions at AACSB and several corporations. In addition, she currently serves on the boards of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education, the European Foundation for Management Development, and the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools, as well as several top business schools in Europe and in Asia.

Kang’s term as board chair begins July 1, 2021 and extends one year, and she will serve as immediate past chair starting July 1, 2022.
