Bhubaneswar: The inaugural showcase of Jindal Art Institute (JAI) began today with the lighting of the lamp by Smt. Savitri Jindal, Chairperson Emeritus, JSPL along with Smt. Shallu Jindal, Founder JAI and Shri Naveen Jindal, Chairman, JSPL. Rajya Sabha MP Padma Vibhushan Shri Raghunath Mahapatra was also present to grace the occasion.
Jindal Art Institute is the dream project of Shallu Jindal, renowned kuchipudi dancer and social contributor. The institute aims to spread far and wide rich artistic heritage of India and the world by exploring various dance forms.
Jindal Art Institute has been established with the aim to encourage artistic and holistic lifestyle as a way forward for peaceful living and with the mission to nurture the vast talent in the country and contribute towards preserving the rich culture we have inherited.
In her welcome address, Smt. Shallu Jindal said, “Jindal Art Institute (JAI) hopes to be a place that is instrumental in helping people achieve and unleash their hidden potential.’’
“The institute will try and explore the strengths and exclusivity of every student be it young or adult and teach them to achieve perfection and excellence.” She added.
Smt. Jindal said, “JAI is a dream come true and it’s a salute to Indian and international artists. The institute will also collaborate with both Indian and international artists to unleash the potential of vast talent that the country has to offer.”
The dramatic and powerful evening witnessed exemplary performances in Classical vocal, Tabla, Piano, Kathak , Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Odissi, Lyrical Contemporary, Zumba, Folk, Bollywood from exceptional talent.
