J&K IMPARD organises Off-campus training at Reasi

 

REASI: Jammu & Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (IMPARD) today organised an Off-campus training course in collaboration with district administration Reasi on “Budget formulation in Gram Panchayats”.

Block Development Officers, Elected representatives and other field functionaries of RDD of Reasi district participated in the course. The objective of the programme was to acquaint the participants with various financial sources in gram Panchayats and the process of budget formulation.

Course Coordinator Dr. Ruchi Gupta briefed about the course and discussed how the gram panchayats can raise their own funds through various sources. Mohammad Yousuf Parray, BDO Directorate of Rural Development Jammu, vividly explained the process of Budget formulation to the participants.

Dr. Anirudh Rai, ACD Reasi apprised all the Panchayat representatives and field functionaries that panchayats must raise their own funds and formulate budget in order to fulfil the objective of holistic development of the gram panchayats. He also expressed gratitude to the Director General IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat and his entire team for organizing such off-campus courses at district level.
