JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur organizes ‘Rajasthan Sanskriti Mahotsav’ and annual sports event ‘SPARDHA’

Jaipur : Sub Divisional Officer and District Magistrate, Jaipur-II, in collaboration with India’s leading higher education institution, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur (JKLU), organized a ‘Rajasthan Sanskriti Mahotsav’, to showcase Rajasthan’s culture and tradition in the university’s campus. The cultural program was held on March 24, was attended by hundreds of students, government and university officials. Congress MLA from Bagru, Smt. Ganga Devi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Smt. Bhanwar Kanwar, Pradhan, Panchayat Samiti, Sanganer was the Distinguished Guest. Vice Chancellor Prof Dheeraj Sanghi and Registrar Shri KK Maheshwari thanked the organizers and guests for choosing JKLU for this very significant event. The cultural events included a splendid performance by JKLU students, showcasing the cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

 

Earlier, on the same day, the inaugural ceremony of the 11th edition of ‘SPARDHA’, JKLU’s three-day annual sports extravaganza, which is expected to witness the participation of 1200 students from over 35 colleges, was held at the Sabrang grounds of the university campus. Most of the sports events will be played on the respective grounds of JKLU.

 

While inaugurating the fest, Vice Chancellor, Prof Dheeraj Sanghi said, “This Sports festival of JKLU embodies the true spirit of sportsmanship and youthful fervour amongst students. The sports council is working hard to provide a great experience to all the participants from across the country. We also extend our warm invitation to Rajasthan Sanskriti Mahotsav. This cultural event would further add color and delight. At the same time, we look forward to a great time with students from colleges across the country and expect a remarkable three-day sporting event wherein we all can sense the zeal of sportsman spirit as well as cultural ethos. We look forward to a successful event with healthy competition and ethical behavior.”

 

Prof Sanghi, along with Head of Student Affairs, Mr Deepak Sogani and chief student organizers also launched the university Jersey for the event during the inaugural ceremony. The annual sports fest at JKLU aims to bring together athletes from various universities to showcase their skills and sportsmanship in numerous disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, and track and field events. JKLU is dedicated to building the country’s most advanced and innovative higher education institution. It also promotes recreational, cultural, and sporting activities for the overall development of students.
