JKAP 6th Battalion organises series of events to promote “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign & mark Independence Day week celebration
POONCH : JKAP 6th Battalion on Friday organised a Special Tiranga March and a Nukkad Natak to commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” & promote “Har Ghar Jhanda” campaign here at Mendhar Town.
The Special Tiranga March witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 200 individuals including students of St. Francis kids world school Mendhar, students of other local schools & officers/officials of JKAP 6th Bn.
A Nukkad Natak on the theme “Aan Baan Shan of Tiranga/Har Ghar Tiranga” was also presented by the students of Government Degree College Mendhar. A stall was also established to distribute free of cost National Flags and pamphlets amongst the general public. Awareness was also generated regarding Flag code of India and other legal provisions.
The aim of these programmes was to spread awareness about the importance of the National Flag as well as to inculcate the feelings of Patriotism amongst the general masses and respect for the National Flag.
The event was attended by DySP, Sheezan Bhat; SDPO Mendhar, Tehsildar Mendhar, Gourav Sharma; Professors Govt. Degree College Mendhar, Akram Choudhary and Ajaz Chowdhary, Civil Society members, Satish Bhargav, Sarpanch Gohlad Sneh Lata, Sumo Union President, Kafeel Khan, President Bus Stand, Bharat Bhushan & other prominent citizens.
DySP, Mohd Farooq Khan-Adjutant, JKAP 6th Bn presented vote of thanks with a brief deliberation.
Trophies and certificates were distributed among the participating students of different institutes. At last, CO JKAP 6th Bn Suram Singh, gave a press briefing regarding the Har Ghar Jhanda event organized to commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. He said the series of events were highly appreciated and the public was seen as quite enthusiastic.
