JKRLM held awareness camp on financial inclusion at Ramsoo

 

RAMBAN: Continuing its efforts to empower the downtrodden and poor section of the society, Jammu & Kashmir National Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM), conducted a one day awareness programme on financial inclusion here in Block Ramsoo.

The camp was presided over by the District Nodal Officer NRLM, Block Programme Manager Manzoor Ahmed Rather. Manager, J&K Bank, Tawheed Majeed, MIS Assistant Aadil Nazir, Cluster Coordinator and nearly 50 members of SHGS were present on the occasion.

During the awareness programme conducted at cluster-A office Ramsoo, participants were informed about the benefits and role of NRLM in the pervert elevation of the downtrodden sections.

Meanwhile, seven Bank Linkage (Loan cases) amounting to Rs. 10 lakh were disbursed on the spot among members of seven groups.

Speaking on the occasion, the DNO said that in block Ramsoo, JKRLM is empowering rural and non-reachable women members of SHGS from last four years. “Till date about Rs 8.5 crore has been disbursed in Mahu-Mangit, Khari, Neel, Ukhral areas of NRLM block Ramsoo.

He informed that NRLM has covered 3641 households by formulating 419 SHGs which are divided into 5 clusters. The investment has been done in various sectors including Retail, Agriculture, Fisheries, Horticulture, Skill based, Dairy farming, Cutting & Tailoring, etc by the beneficiaries, he added.
