JMC hosting Pad Yatra on Dec 9 to promote PM’s call for Corruption Free India
Mayor discusses modalities with CCIJ, seeks cooperation for success of campaign
JAMMU : Jammu Municipal Corporation is going to organize a Pad Yatra (Tramp) on December 9 at 10:30 AM to promote the Call given by Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narinder Modi from Red Fort on August 15th regarding Corruption Free India.
In this historical Pad Yatra called by Mayor Jammu under the banner of Jammu Municipal Corporation, students from different schools, colleges, universities, a number of Trade organizations, Chamber of Commerce and several social organizations will participate .
In this regard, the Mayor, Jammu today chaired a meeting with delegates of the Chamber of Commerce and other trade organizations.
The Chamber President, Arun Gupta assured full cooperation to the Mayor, Jammu and assured the presence of all traders’ Associations in this event.
The Mayor also briefed that the Pad Yatra will start from Parade Jammu and would move through different bazaars and shall culminate at Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Park.
The Mayor convened another meeting under the guidance of Mayor, Jammu regarding tourism department schemes and initiatives for promoting tourism in Jammu city.
The Officers of tourism department briefed the business fraternity of Jammu city regarding various schemes initiated by the tourism department to boost tourism Industry in Jammu.
The Mayor also suggested many heritage spots and temples of Jammu city which have a great potential to attract tourists. The Mayor also directed the tourism department to take necessary steps to make Jammu as tourism hub in the country.
