JMI to organize a national seminar on ‘The Idea of Peace, Humanism and Tolerance in Islam’

New Delhi: JMI’s India-Arab Cultural Centre is organizing a two-day national seminar on ‘The Idea of Peace, Humanism and Tolerance in Islam’ from Monday, September 25, 2017.

The seminar is an attempt to understand the idea of peace and humanism in Islam from
various vantage points and to provide a realistic assessment of the current dynamics.

The inaugural session will be held on September 25, 2017 at 10.30 am at Conference Hall,
FTK-Centre for Information and Technology, (CIT), JMI.

Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, JMI shall chair the inaugural session. Mr. A.P.
Siddiqui (IPS), Registrar, JMI shall be the Guest of Honour.
Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur and Prof. A. K.
Ramakrishnan, Centre for West Asian Studies, SIS, JNU will speak at the inaugural session.

The seminar will include several working sessions which would be attended by academicians,
experts and research scholars from different educational institutions and research
organizations across the country.
