JMI VC and Registrar administered integrity pledge to employees

New Delhi: With corruption being one of the major obstacles to country’s economic, political and social progress, employees of Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) today took pledge to built a corruption free India . The pledge was administered by JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar and Registrar Mr. A.P.Siddiqui(IPS) jointly.

The pledge was administered as part of Vigilance Awareness Week observed from October 28- November 02, 2019. The theme of the vigilance awareness week was ‘Integrity- A Way of Life’.

The employees, among other things, pledged to promote ethical business practices, foster a culture of honesty and integrity, not to offer or accept bribes, maintain highest standards of integrity, transparency and good governance.

Central Vigilance Commission, as part of its efforts to promote probity in public life and to achieve a corruption free society, observes Vigilance Awareness Week every year. The week in which 31st October, the birthday of late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel falls, is observed as Vigilance Awareness Week.
