JMI’s Nischay wins gold medal in All India Inter University Boxing Championship

New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) student Nischay won gold medal in All India Inter University Boxing championship in 63kg category. A total of 175 contenders took part in this category. Nischay is a student of BA Program(3rd semester) in JMI.
Nischay defeated Deepak Singh of Om Prakash Joginder Singh University, Rajasthan in the final match to clinch the title. The championship was organised in Samrat Prthviraj Chauhan Post Graduate College in Baghpat, UP from 19 December 2019 to 2nd January 2020 in which 1872 contestants participated in different categories.
Hony. Director , Games & Sports, JMI Prof. Iqtedar Khan congratulated Nischay for the great achievement. He also congratulated JMI Boxing Club President Dr. Asif Umar, Manager Dr. Alamgeer, university administration and employees of the MAK Pataudi Sports Complex.
