JMI’s Placement Cell organizes Job Readiness workshop for students
New Delhi: A two-day Job Readiness workshop was organised by the Jamia Millia Islamia Placement Cell for graduate and post-graduate students of the university.
The objective of the workshop was to provide industry level exposure to students before they apply for internships and/or appear for the recruitment process and to increase their awareness of the various career options such as off campus jobs and further job opportunities in public sector.
At the workshop students were told about enhancing employability skills, soft skills, critical and creative thinking, multiple intelligence, resume building, off campus and abroad jobs preparation.
Mr. Vishal Gupta, Former HR-Talent Acquisition, SAMSUNG R&D, India and Chief Training Officer, eGurukul Bharat conducted the workshop along with Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Computer Scientist, Adobe Systems. Mr. Gupta is a well known trainer who has trained over 50,000 students in more than 70 institutes across the country.
The Placement Cell is keen to enhance the employability skills of students and plans to conduct many more such trainings under the guidance and able leadership of JMI’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Najma Akhtar.
