JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organised a clinicopathological conference on black fungus

 

Aligarh : The Department of Pathology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organised a clinicopathological conference (CPC) in collaboration with the Departments of ENT, and Community Medicine to discuss the present burning topic of black fungus.

Prof Mohammad Aftab, Chairman, Department of ENT explained the presentation and treatment given to the patients of black fungus and treatment modalities.

He appreciated the initiative taken by the Chairman of the Department of Pathology for such a conference and said that such type of CPC on regular basis will be beneficial for post graduate students and others.

Prof Mohd Jaseem Hassan and Dr Ruquiya Afrose of the Department of Pathology discussed the pathophysiology and morphological aspect and challenges faced in diagnosing the disease.

Dr Salim Mohd Khan from the department of Community Medicine highlighted the epidemiological aspects of the disease and present scenario in Aligarh and worldwide.

Prof S H Arif, Chairman, Department of Pathology extended thanks to all the speakers for their wonderful presentations.
