JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University organised workshop on Arrhythmias

 

Aligarh: The Centre of Cardiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University organised a workshop on ‘Arrhythmias’ at the JNMC Cath Lab, in which six patients with irregular and abnormal patterns in their heart beats were successfully treated.

Prof Asif Hasan (Director, Centre of Cardiology) that the patients with uncontrollable high heart rates were given the therapeutic procedure, Radio Frequency Ablation.

He added that the procedure helps in identifying and removing the type of arrhythmia and the abnormal circuitry patients are suffering with.

Prof Hasan conducted the workshop with special guest, Dr Rajiv Sharma (MG Medical College, Jaipur) and Dr Malik Azharuddin.

He informed that many more such workshops will take place at the cath lab in the coming months.

“I am hopeful for future progress of the cath lab with Centre of Cardiology team comprising Prof MU Rabbani, Dr Azharuddin and Dr Rafi Anwar,” said Prof Hasan.
