JNMC doctor conferred with Times Group Award
Aligarh: Dr Mohd Aslam, the In-charge of Nephrology Division and Dialysis Unit, Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has got ‘The Galaxy: Shining Nephrostars’ award from the Times of India Group at a special function held at the Hyatt in Goa. He is one of the five nephrologists from Uttar Pradesh to be conferred with the award.
He was felicitated by the Goa Chief Minister, Shri Pramod Sawant and Mandira Bedi, the brand ambassador of the Times of India Group.
The Times of India Group has also included Dr Aslam in the list of India’s top 100 nephrologists for remarkable work in nephrology, featuring his work and research in the latest edition of ‘The Times Groups Coffee Table Book’ in the section on ‘Shining Nephrostars’.
In the interview with the Times Group, he discussed the presentation of his research papers in the international and national fora, interaction with nephrologists from all around the world, the book he authored and the two Government of India projects he has completed.
He is the teacher In-charge of Diploma in Dialysis Techniques Course and has supervised a number of PG Students.
As an interventional nephrologist, Dr Aslam has done over 500 renal biopsies and more than 2500 catheter-based vascular interventions and other challenging procedures.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor congratulated Dr Aslam on getting the award.
