JNMC faculty delivers oration

 

Aligarh : Prof Syed Moied Ahmed, Department of Anaesthesiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was awarded the NITTE University Oration held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur—for exemplary work in the field of Critical Care Medicine, Difficult Airway Management and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Speaking on his journey in Airway Management, Prof Ahmed delineated advances in the safe management of the airway, videolaryngoscopes, supraglottic airways and evaluation, planning, and use of a wide array of medical procedures and devices for the purpose of maintaining or restoring a safe, effective pathway for oxygenation and ventilation.

He also spoke about his contribution in framing the ISA Difficult Airway Module and CPR guidelines and other maneuvers and medical procedures performed to prevent and relieve airway obstruction.

Prof Ahmed attended the Session on ‘Extubation of Difficult Airway’ as a field expert and chaired a session where he effectively created coherence throughout the diverse presentations by medical practitioners from across the Country. He also judged a competitive paper presentation session.
