JNMC faculty receives fellowship to work at Barbara Davis Center, USA

Aligarh: Dr Ayesha Ahmad, Department of Paediatrics, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been selected for a six-week, Allan Drash Clinical Fellowship programme to work on clinical rotation at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes in Aurora, Colorado, United States of America.

At the Barbara Davis Center of the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine, Dr Ayesha will get to understand how the Barbara Davis Center team employs a multi-disciplinary approach in patient care. The Center is known for its collaborative work of doctors, nurses, dieticians, physician assistants and social workers, which is vital for their comprehensive onset education program and group medical appointment program.

Dr Ayesha will work on the Barbara Davis Center’s technology program and learn about the Centre’s innovative work done on electronic medical record and database to improve data structuring for clinical efficiency and research.

Dr Ayesha will be working in the Center’s adult diabetes clinic, eye clinic and research floors. She is also scheduled to attend the weekly endocrine grand rounds and the monthly grand rounds at the University of Colorado.
