JNMC junior resident doctors bag top prizes
Aligarh : Dr Saima Ejaz, a junior resident doctor of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) bagged the first prize for a oral paper on ‘Safety and Efficacy of Bedaquiline in DR TB Patients’ in the recently concluded ‘24th Joint National Conference (NAPCON-2022) at Udaipur.
She also received the ‘Judges Appreciation and Critical Acclaim’ for her e-poster, ‘Tuberculosis Mediastinal Lymphadenopathy with Endobronchial Growth in an Immunocompetent Patient: A Rare Presentation” which she co-authored with Prof Zuber Ahmed (Chairman, Department of Pulmonary Medicine), Dr Imrana Masood and Dr Ummul Baneen.
Meanwhile, Dr Hassan Shamsi, who is also a junior resident of Department of Pulmonary Medicine received best e-poster award for her work ‘A Fatal Leak-Esophageal Pleural Fistula’ co-authored with Prof Rakesh Bhargava (Principal, JNMC), Prof M Shameem and Dr Nafees.
