JNMC Junior Resident presents paper in RCPCH Conference

Aligarh  : Sakshi Gupta, a post-graduate student of the Department of Paediatrics and a junior resident at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) presented a paper on ‘Endocrine Dysfunction in Transfusion Dependent Thalassemic Children’ in the annual conference of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), London.

She had co-authored the paper with her supervisor, Dr Ayesha Ahmad; Prof Zeeba Z Rab, Saleeq P K and Nazish. The paper was a part of the poster presentation at the conference.

“Since Thalassemia is one of the most common hematological disorders observed in children, a research in this field shall help a long way in improving the quality of life of affected children”, said Dr Ayesha Ahmad.
