JNMC students participate in the national workshop on Clinical Pharmacology
ALIGARH : Twelve postgraduate students from the Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University took part in the six-day 40th Annual National Workshop on Clinical Pharmacology (NWCP 2024) held at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
The JNMC team comprised junior residents across three academic years, including Dr Pragna Roy, Dr Swati Gulla, Dr Surbhi Jain, Dr Riya Sharma, Dr Amrita Pandey, Dr Anju, Dr Bharat, Dr Abhinav Tiwari, Dr Anam, Dr Vibhu Pandey, Dr Aditya Vikram Singh and Dr Sreemedha Chaudhry.
The workshop featured lectures, interactive sessions and a demonstration of clinical and research skills by the participants who also participated in hands-on training sessions related to cardiovascular and central nervous systems, clinical trial ethics, and training on advanced analytical instruments like Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM), HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and auto-analysers.
Dr. Anam, a third-year resident, won the first prize in the poster presentation category for her research in experimental pharmacology. In the quiz competition, two JNMC teams made their way to the finals, with Team 2, comprising Dr. Sreemedha Chaudhry and Dr. Swati Gulla, securing second place.
