JNMCH gets new Medical Superintendent

ALIGARH : Prof Waseem Rizvi, Department of Pharmacology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed as Medical Superintendent, J.N. Medical College Hospital, until further orders, with immediate effect.

Prof Rizvi has been engaged in teaching and research for over the last 20 years, and has earlier served as the Deputy Medical Superintendent from March 2004 to September 2007.

The research area of his interest includes screening of indigenous plants for biological activities like anti filarial, anti-inflammatory and hepato-protectives.

He has published more than 40 research papers in various journals of national and international repute, including the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy, European Journal of Pharmacology, Phytomedicine, Journal of Oriental Pharmacy and Experimental Medicine, Journal of Natural Remedies.
