Job fair ‘Sairaab’ concludes at AMU

ALIGARH : The annual job fair, ‘Sairaab 2.0’, organized by the Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University concluded with a valedictory programme and felicitation of the selected students for various job positions by the visiting companies and organizations.

The chief guest, Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate of School Education, AMU appreciated the efforts of the organizing team for providing the university students with an opportunity to showcase their qualification and capabilities for various job positions. He urged the students to learn from others’ experiences and take risks in life when going out to make a career after completing education. He appreciated the increasing percentage of women participants in the job fair.

Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer and Convener, emphasized the importance of skill development, time management and learning beyond curriculum. He urged the students to focus on polishing their communication skill.

Declaring the selection result of the job fair, the Organizing Secretary, Dr. Pallav Vishnu said that over 200 students have been selected by a number of companies through a rigorous selection process including educational and personality assessments, and one of the students has secured a package of Rs 12 lakh per annum.

He congratulated the selected students and urged them to work with full sincerity and bring laurels to their alma mater.

The guest of honour, Prof. Mansoor Alam felicitated the organizers and volunteers for their significant contribution and hard work.

Earlier, the student coordinator, Ms Ghazala Zameer welcomed the guests and thanked the team members and volunteers for their efforts and hard work.
