Johns Hopkins University’s Children’s Center Shines In Top U.S. Children’s Hospitals By U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report announced its annual list of Best Children’s Hospitals for 2023–24, and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is ranked #10 in the nation, earning it a spot on the honor roll. The Children’s Center continues to be the highest ranked pediatric hospital in Maryland, and it is ranked #4 in the mid-Atlantic region, which is made up of seven states and Washington, D.C.
“We are incredibly proud of the work being done by our teams and honored to serve our patients, their families and the Maryland community,” says Theodore L. DeWeese, M.D., the interim dean of the medical faculty and CEO, Johns Hopkins Medicine.
In a note to Johns Hopkins Medicine employees, DeWeese and Kevin W. Sowers, M.S.N., R.N., F.A.A.N., Johns Hopkins Health System president and executive vice president of Johns Hopkins Medicine, praised the Children’s Center faculty, staff and leadership.

The Children’s Center is also ranked nationally in all 10 pediatric specialties surveyed, with each among the top 25:
