Joint International Conference (ICASEM-2024) by MNIT Jaipur, Mody University and University of Mauritius inaugurated at Mody University Lakshmangarh
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, School of Engineering and Technology, Mody University, Lakshmangarh and University of Mauritius (UoM) jointly inaugurated International Conference on Application of Recent Technologies in Science, Engineering, Management for Societal and Industrial Development (ICASEM-2024) on 11.01.2024 at Mody University, Lakshmangarh.

Deshmukh (IIT Delhi), Prof. Suresh Sethi (The University of Texas), Prof Ravi Shankar (IIT Delhi), ), Prof. G. S. Dangayach (General Chair, MNIT Jaipur), Prof. D. S. Callychurn (General Chair, UoM), Prof. Prateek Bhanti (General Chair, MUST), Dr. M. L. Meena (Organizing Secretary, MNIT Jaipur), Dr. Vikrant Sharma (Organizing Secretary, MUST), Prof. Ravishankar, IIT Delhi, Prof. V. P. Wani, MET Nashik, Prof. Rakesh Premi, Manipal University, Prof. Mangeram, Dehradun graced the opening ceremony. This is the first event organized by MNIT Jaipur at Mody University- Explore Leading Women’s University in India.
More than 300 delegates attended the inaugural function in offline and online mode. In these three days, eight keynote addresses will be presented by professionals from esteemed institutes all over the world and one hundred thirty nine (139) research papers will be presented during these three days by researchers across the globe. The keynote speakers are Prof. Suresh Sethi, The University of Texas; Prof S. G. Deshmukh, IIT Delhi; Prof Vijay K Jain, IIT Kanpur; Prof. Abhay Sharma, KU Leuven, Belgium; Prof Ravi Shankar, IIT Delhi; Prof. J Ramkumar, IIT Kanpur; Prof. S. P. Pandey, UET, Roorkee; Prof V P Wani, MET Nashik.
Chief Guest Prof. N. P. Padhy emphasised electricity use during India’s off-peak hours. He has suggested some key reforms to combat the electricity shortage during Peak Hours, such as social awareness by each individual. We must be aware of using washing machines and charging Electrical Vehicles during off-peak hours. We can sustain the country’s present electricity requirement during peak hours through suggested practices.
Prof. Shashi Bala Singh, President Mody University Lakshmangarh has described the societal and ethical best practices of the university. Mody University is a leading women’s university with rich cultural heritage.
Prof. D. S. Callychurn highlighted that University of Mauritius is the largest public with 6 faculties and more than 10,000 students in campus. MNIT Jaipur signed an MoU with the University of Mauritius in 2022.
Prof. G. S. Dangayach highlighted the achievements of MNIT Jaipur. MNIT Jaipur is an institute of national importance, with 13 departments and three centres of excellence. It offers 8 UG, 26 PG and doctoral programs. MNIT has world-class facilities and infrastructures with many active national and international MOUs to bring out the best for science and society from its collaborations. MNIT is ranked 37th nationally in the NIRF ranking 2023. As per NEP-2020 guidelines MNIT offers flexibility in the academic curriculum, such as an exit policy with major, minor and honours degrees.
