The seminar will involve an interactive panel of leading practitioners discussing their experience of resolving construction arbitrations under LCIA Rules. The evening will finish with networking drinks.

The high profile speakers at the event are:

Professor Renato Nazzini, Director of the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution, King’s College London (chair)
Anneliese Day KC, Fountain Court Chambers, Member of the LCIA Court
Jamie Harrison, LCIA Deputy Director General
Liam Holder, Secretariat
The event is primarily intended for arbitrators, in-house counsel, practitioners, academics and members of the local and international business community interested in, and affected by, current developments and best practice in the field of international arbitration and construction.

Construction disputes pose unique challenges in terms of case management and evidence. They also often involve the need to apply to a court or an arbitral tribunal for interim relief, for example to stop an employer calling on a performance bond or to require a contractor to continue working while the dispute is resolved. I am very happy that King’s is joining forces with the LCIA to discuss how best to approach these issues.
