Jönköping University cancels Open House (Öppet hus) Saturday 21 March

Jönköping University has decided to, in line with the Public Health Agency of Sweden and the decision made by the Swedish government to stop all public gathering and events with more than 500 people, cancel our Open House (Öppet hus), which was scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 March.

The purpose of Open House is to inspire studying at JU, and to answer questions about our programmes and student life.

“We of course want to answer questions regarding our programmes and student life despite having cancelled Open House and are available for questions,” says Hanna Vinborg, Head of the Communications Department, Jönköping University.

If you were planning on visiting us and have questions, please email [email protected]

Other events may be affected, and we will inform staff and students continuously. Right now, there are no recommendations from the authorities regarding closing down daily operations. Jönköping University is monitoring the situation continuously and following the information and recommendations from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Health Agency of Sweden.

The work will continue as normal; however, we urge students and staff to stay updated with information from the authorities. If the situation changes, new decisions will be made, and staff and students will be informed about this.
