JSSC Nagrota organises 3-Day workshop Training for Trainers

 

JAMMU : Skills and Simulation Centre Nagrota organised a 3-day workshop on “Training of Trainers and Introduction to Simulation Based Education” here from Feb 15 to Feb 17, 2022.

The extensive training program was attended by experts from the field of Anaesthesia, Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

The objective of the training program was to orient the selected faculty with the simulators in the simulation lab and give an overview of the basic concepts of Simulation based teaching methodology. They were trained widely on the subject to build upon their expertise to conduct cascade training for the health teams at their respective stations.

The training was imparted to the participants by Dr. Ruchi Sharma (ESS, Laerdal Medical India) under the direct supervision and support of Director General-FW, MCH & Immunization J&K & Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman and Deputy Director Dentistry Dr. Sanjay Sharma.

The training program was an initiative by DHS Jammu with a vision to improve health care indicators in the region.

Many such trainings have been conducted since the inception of JSSC which has enhanced the capacity and competence of health care providers from across Jammu division thereby leading to reduced medical errors and improved patient outcome, the results of which are visible on ground as now patients are being stabilized in the peripheral health institutions itself.

The three-day training concluded with commitment from the participants to take the baton forward and come up with a road map to implement the teachings from the training in their hospital settings. The process of imparting training to health workers at JSSC for upgrading their skills shall continue in the near future also.
