Juniper IEC walks the talk at #IITKanpur’s #TechKriti 2017

 

New Delhi: Juniper Networks’ India Excellence Center (IEC) for research and development is the title sponsor of TechKriti which kick starts today, an annual international, technological and entrepreneurial festival organized by the students of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

This year, Mr. Nitin Kumar, Vice President, Juniper Networks Inc. an IIT Kanpur alumnus is delivering the keynote at the inauguration today of the tech festival. He will speak on Cloudification, sharing how Juniper is transforming itself to enable this change in the networking world. Juniper IEC along with IIT Kanpur, will organize many competitions during the four-day tech festival. These will encourage the spirit of innovation amongst the budding engineers by providing an opportunity for them to gain a scientific perspective.

Juniper IEC will be organizing an ‘Open source coding competition’ for a selected group of 100 students, the prize money for which is RS. 1,50,000. As part of this competition, students will be solving a real-time problem statement created by the engineers of Juniper IEC. A panel discussion will be organized on ‘Intelligent Networks and Digital Transformation.’

The tech festival is expected to attract participants from every corner of the country as well as abroad comprising a total footfall of more than 30,000 students.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.­­­­ Sriram AG, Director, Talent Acquisition, Juniper Networks, said, “The event is a fantastic opportunity for budding engineers to showcase their talent at the various platforms organized by Juniper Networks.” He further added, “We are excited to be making a meaningful contribution to the campus community and urge more colleges and tech-savvy students to join in creating a new and a better world with the help of innovative technological advancements.”
