Kamats Hospitality Academy of Skill’s earn-and-learn program promotes the development of skills
Mumbai: When it comes to the education system in India, we still give a lot of importance to theoretical knowledge. To break this monotony and promote practical-based education, few institutes have started focusing on skill-based education methodology. One such institute is the Mumbai University-accredited Kamats Hospitality Academy of Skills’ which completely focuses on skill-based education. Training sessions to be able to practically learn everything followed by an earn-and-learn program promotes the development of skills and expertise in the Hospitality Industry.
When asked Dr. Vikram Kamat about his vision behind KHAS, he mentioned, “The entire nation Is talking of upskilling, skilling India, and as our F&B industry is less about paper qualifications and more about your skills to deal with people, your skill as a person is what matters not your degrees. Our full focus is to develop skilled people. That’s how Khas academy was born which has a complete earn-and-learn program where while you are learning you are also earning so you learn on the job and that’s how we’ve done it.”
