Kansai Nerolac announces a skilling program for women under Atmanirbhar Painting Contractor initiative in Delhi & NCR
New Delhi, 9th October 2020: As an extension to the Atmanirbhar Painting Contractor program, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. (KNPL) will undertake training and equipping 100 women in fumigation and sanitization services in Delhi NCR. Additionally, all of them will be given fumigation machines free of cost. For the same, the brand has associated with ‘Kriti’- A Development Praxis and Communication Team to empower those women who have lost their livelihood due to the lockdown.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Anuj Jain, Executive Director, Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited said, “This pandemic has created a severe financial challenge to many especially the daily wage workers bringing many under severe financial stress. Therefore, we are facilitating sanitization and fumigation service equipment & training for women to enable them to develop an alternate source of income.”
Kansai Nerolac announced a first of its kind industry-wide initiative, titled #PaintTheirFuture, to extend a helping hand to the painter community in India. As part of this initiative, a crowd sourced fund has been created with GiveIndia to provide financial aid to painters in case they get infected by the novel Coronavirus. Further, anticipating the financial adversity that the situation was about to have on people at large, especially the daily-wage earners, the brand announced an early disbursement of funds to its painter community falling under the Nerolac Premium Painter Pragati (NPP Pragati) Programme. The initiative provided much needed interim relief to over 30,000 painters.
Recently, with the launch of India India’s first anti-viral product, the brand continues to stay committed through various initiatives, to its corporate purpose of creating environments for a healthy and beautiful environment for the future generations.
