“Karelia – the territory of innovations”
How to introduce innovative technologies, reduce costs and increase the level of environmental friendliness of projects – these and other issues were discussed at the conference “Karelia – the territory of innovation”, held in Petrozavodsk.
Participants of the youth scientific society “Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology” took part in the conference “Karelia – the territory of innovations”.
The conference brought together representatives of executive authorities and development institutions of the republic, top managers of large companies and financial organizations, members of business associations, experts in the field of innovation and technology. The event was organized by the Development Corporation of the Republic of Karelia with the support of the Government of the Republic of Karelia.
In order to develop their own innovative projects, supported by the Innovation Promotion Foundation within the framework of the UMNIK competition, the conference was attended by students and postgraduates of the Youth Scientific Society (MNS) “Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology” of the Department of Zoology and Ecology of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies Alexander Kuchko, Natalia Chechkova and Alexander Kizimov.
On the first day of the conference, the participants discussed the formation of a comfortable environment for living and recreation, as well as innovative approaches to resource conservation and climate preservation. The speakers talked about smart technologies in the construction and equipment of apartment buildings, mechanisms for investing in energy, presented innovations for urban lighting, electric transport and tourism infrastructure.
On the final day, the Innovations and Investments forum took place, within which speakers spoke about measures to support innovative enterprises, about the features of the development and promotion of innovative business, the use of artificial intelligence technology in business, and the benefits of being a Skolkovo resident.
There was an exchange of practice in solving business problems for further cooperation and the successful implementation of innovative ideas.
