Karlsruhe Institute of Technology: Far ahead in the training of “digital leaders”

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is in 21st place worldwide in the recently published “Digital Leaders in Higher Education” ranking by “Times Higher Education” (THE). KIT is ranked 6th in Europe and 4th in Germany. The ranking shows which universities are considered leaders in digital and technological teaching and optimally prepare their students for management tasks in the digital environment.

Digital and technological skills are in great demand among university graduates. It is not easy for students to find out which universities have a good reputation in certain fields, where they can get the best education and, in addition to scientific and technological foundations, can also acquire the skills to start a business.

The “Digital Leaders” ranking that has now been published was compiled by the French consulting firm Emerging and published exclusively by Times Higher Education Magazine. To do this, Emerging analyzed around 75,000 CVs of influential executives in digital companies and conducted interviews with around 3,500 IT managers, founders and young professionals in IT positions.

The global ranking of Digital Leaders publishes the top 200 universities worldwide that performed best in an overall ranking made up of five categories:

• Best University in Computer Science
• Best University in Data Sciences
• Best Online Degrees
• Best Digital Entrepreneurship Programs
• Best Business School for Digital Transformation
