Karnah Administration finalises utilisation of Panchayat funds

Karnah: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddun Bhat, today convened a meeting of concerned officers and BDC Chairpersons of Tangdar and Teetwal to finalize the preparation for Back to Village 3 (B2V3).
The meeting finalized the developmental plan for utilization of an already sanctioned grant of Rs.10 lakh per Panchayat.
The meeting was informed that in a unique development, Block Development Councils, Tangdar and Teetwal passed a resolution to pool the amount of Rs. 48 lakh for Health sector and Rs.10 lakh for Power development and the step was taken keeping in view the urgent requirement of Health infrastructure up-gradation of S.D. Hospital Tangdar and other 3 NTPHCs.
The meeting was informed that the amount pooled for Power development will be utilized for up-gradation of already existing transformer bank for remote border area of Karnah.
The District Development Commissioner Kupwara has welcomed the decision taken by 32 panchayats of Tangdar and Teetwal blocks to spend the pooled money for asset creation in Health & Power sectors of the sub division.
Among others, Tehsildar Karnah, BDOs and PRIs attended the meeting.
