Kashmiri Students reached LPU Campus under Indian Army’s Capacity Building Programme

 

Jalandhar: 30 students and 2 teachers from Kashmir region reached Lovely Professional University today under Muhib-e-Watan 2 Programme. Chinar Corps of Indian Army is organizing “OP Sadbhavana” Industrial Tour for these students under which students are visiting the top institutions and industries of the state. Termed as the ‘Capacity Building Tour’, the tour reached LPU after traversing a long distance. In their interaction with the students, LPU officials gave them an insight into various avenues.
Indian Army Captain Ravi Kumar, who led the students, informed that after the successful outcome of such a tour held last year, the young meritorious students of Kashmir who have secured high marks in Matric, Senior Secondary and ITI Classes have been included in the touring team, under the aegis of Chinar Corps. The young achievers interacted with LPU staff members and officers and took tips on the importance of higher education. They also came to know about various disciplines and study programmes at LPU.
True to the spirit of the tour, “Muhib-e-Watan” which means patriot- who loves and defends his or her country, much excited and happy students expressed their great, enjoying and lifetime experience at LPU. Two of the students Jamshed Ahmad Baba, Mohammad Iqbal from ITI Bemina (Srinagar) and teachers Tasir Hussain and Altaf Hussain shared: “We all are indeed very excited on visiting globally recognized university LPU, which possesses excellence in all spheres of sciences, information technology and management studies.”
Illustrative, Chinar Corps had devised a ten day educational & capacity building tour for 30 students of ITI Srinagar & Bemina on education & industrial training tour, under which these aspiring students preferred to reach at LPU campus also.
