Kathua DDC reviews progress on RIDF schemes
Kathua: District Development Commissioner, Kathua, O.P. Bhagat, today reviewed the progress of ongoing Rural Infrastructural Development Fund (RIDF) Projects, funded by NABARD.
It was appraised in the meeting that 60 RIDF Projects funded under NABARD are under implementation in the District by different implementing departments.
The Projects pertain to Health, Jal Shakti, Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry department and include critical rural infrastructure viz roads, bridges, water supply schemes, PHCs, Veterinary Hospitals, Sheep Extension Centres, ISM dispensaries etc.
The DDC reviewed the scheme wise progress of the projects and directed the executing agencies for accelerating the pace of the execution and adherence to timelines. He asked for timely submission of project completion reports and utilization certificates for subsequent release of funds. It was also called upon to liaison with the revenue officers for sorting out the land issues, if any, hindering the progress in implementation of the schemes.
The engineers of the executing agencies were directed to ensure regular field visits and feedback from PRIs for ensuring quality parameters in execution of the projects.
Among others, the meeting was attended by DDM NABARD Amit Kumar, CPO Kathua Uttam Singh, CMO Kathua Dr. Ashok Choudhary, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B) and Jal Shakti.
