Kevin D Arvadia tops in Surat with overall rank of 133 in JEE Advanced Exam

Surat: The results of JEE Advanced Examination were declared yesterday. Kevin D Arvadia topped in the city while stood 133rd overall.
Kevin scored 301 marks in the examination.

“I would attribute my success to guidance of my parents and Narayana Institute. The faculty has been supportive at every step and even organized special doubt clearing sessions for us,” said Kevin.

Organized by IIT Madras, the examination was held on 21 May 2017.Approximately 2.21 lakh candidates had registered and appeared for Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Advanced Examination. Candidates, who cleared the JEE Main or the first phase of the two-phase exams, were eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced.

The performance of a candidate in JEE Advanced forms the basis for admission to the bachelor’s, integrated Master’s and dual degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).

There are over 11,000 seats available in the 23 IITs across the country.
