Khanyar fire incident: DC Srinagar sanctions 15 lakh rupees ex gratia in favour of surviving daughter

Srinagar: Expressing deep shock and sorrow Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said the entire district administration is saddened by the tragic and painful fire incident last night at Khanyar area in which three members of a family lost their lives.
Sanctioning an ex gratia relief of 12 lakh rupees under SDRF and an additional 3 lakh rupees in favour of the surviving daughter he said no amount would ever be of help.
Earlier in the morning Dr Shahid visited the site of the incident and also visited the injured daughter of the couple who died in the tragic incident along with their another daughter.
