New Delhi : KIET Group of Institutions, one of the leading engineering colleges in Delhi-NCR, proudly announces that it has been granted autonomous status. This significant milestone marks a new era of academic freedom and innovation for the institution, which has been shaping the future of technical education since its inception in 1998 by the Krishna Charitable Society.
Achieving autonomous status empowers KIET to independently design and update its curriculum, ensuring it stays ahead of industry needs and emerging trends. This newfound freedom allows the institution to implement innovative teaching methods, making learning more practical and experiential for students. Autonomy also means KIET can conduct exams and assessments independently, focusing on comprehensive evaluation methods that promote holistic development.

KIET plans to roll out the new autonomous framework in phases, starting with curriculum redesign and administrative restructuring in the first year. Full integration of autonomous operations is anticipated within two to three years, ensuring all stakeholders are well-adjusted to the new system.Additionally, KIET will establish a dedicated Autonomous Governance Committee to oversee the transition and ongoing operations. New academic programs and short-term courses tailored to industry needs will be introduced, along with enhanced student support services, including international exchange opportunities.
