KIIT College Organised an Awareness Session on Blood Donation Day

Gurugram- KIIT College celebrated Blood Donation Day with a faculty-led awareness event to educate students on the crucial importance of blood donation. Every year on June 14th, the World Health Organization (WHO) chooses to observe World Blood Donor Day. Students, teachers, and staff actively participated in the session hosted in the college auditorium and focused on social responsibility and community service.

During the session, a respected faculty member, Dr. Seema Sharma, presented an informative discussion about the advantages and procedures of blood donation. She addressed common myths about blood donation and went into further detail about the medical concerns. The simplicity and security of donating blood are things that many people do not know.

Neelima Kamrah, the registrar of KIIT College, addressed the day by highlighting the importance of blood donation in saving lives. “Blood donation is a noble act that can majorly impact someone’s life,” she stated in her speech. Through such selfless acts, our effort today hopes to teach our students about the impact they may have on society. We have worked hard to develop a sense of responsibility and sympathy, motivating them to make meaningful contributions to the community.

The event also included testimonies from regular blood donors and recipients, highlighting the life-saving benefits of blood donation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and get more information on how to take part in upcoming blood drives during a Q&A session. The college plans to work with nearby hospitals and blood banks to conduct frequent blood donation drives to guarantee a consistent supply of this essential resource.
