‘Kill Corona’ Campaign achieves good results in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that good results are being obtained from ‘Kill Corona’ Campaign. Survey of about 4 crore people i.e. 58 percent survey has been completed till now under the campaign in the state. Samples of 49 thousand 690 people have been taken and out of this 599 positive cases have come to the fore. The positivity percentage is 1.26, which clearly indicates that state has no situation like community spread.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan further mentioned that there are 17 states of the country, where corona infection is comparatively high. Now, Madhya Pradesh ranks 16 in number of active corona cases preceded by Kerala at 17th place. As of July 08, the number of active corona cases in Madhya Pradesh is 3420.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona in the state and arrangements through video conferencing at Mantralaya. The Minister for Health Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and Principal Secretary Health Shri Faiz Ahmed Qidwai were present at the video conference.

Good parameters, take precautions

During the review of Jabalpur district, it was found that the district has good parameters. District has positivity rate of 2.99 percent, recovery rate 77.5 percent and mortality rate of 2.89 percent. At present, there are 95 active cases in the district and 375 people went back home after the recovery. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to take precautions to prevent infection further.

Zero mortality rate after June 01

It was found in the review of Mandsaur district that mortality rate is zero in the district after June 01. District has 44 active corona patients and 106 patients went back home after the recovery. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that precautions should be taken in people’s movement there as the district is situated on the border of Rajasthan. The Chief Secretary Shri Bains informed that the first contact tracing in the district is very low (6.9 percent) and hence it should be increased.

No people’s movement without screening

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that collectors must ensure that to and fro movement of people without screening should not be allowed in the bordering districts of the state.
