Kirloskar Institute of Management Hosts a Momentous Convocation Ceremony for the graduates of PGDM class of 2024

Pune : Kirloskar Institute of Management (KIM) celebrated the convocation ceremony for graduating students of class of 2024 at the Buntara Bhavana, Baner, Pune on May 04, 2024. The convocation ceremony marked an important milestone in the lives of the graduating students. Graduands, along with their family members, faculty members, alumni and esteemed guests participated in the convocation and made the event a grand success. Mr. Sumit Mitra Head-Group HR and corporate services, Godrej Industries Limited and Human Resources, Godrej Consumers Products Ltd made his precious presence at the convocation ceremony as the Chief Guest. Mr. Rahul C Kirloskar, Executive Chairman-Kirloskar Pneumatic CO Limited, member Governing Council, Kirloskar Institute Management, welcomed the graduands and declared the convocation open.

The podium at the event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Mr. Sumit Mitra, Mrs. Aditi Kirloskar, Vice President-KIM, Dr. Nandeesh Hiremath, Director Harihar campus, Dr. T.G. Vijaya, Director Pune campus, Dr. Nagaraj Bevinmarad, Dean Harihar campus and Dr. Bidyanand Jha, Dean Pune campus.

Mr. Rahul C Kirloskar and Mr. Sumit Mitra addressed the gathering along with the alumnus student Mr. Nikhil Damle.

Mr. Rahul C Kirloskar shared his insights about India’s economic development, innovation, progress in the manufacturing sector, and the sustainable challenges in the present digital age. He extended congratulations to the graduands and the merit awardees of the class of 2024.

Mr. Sumit Mitra addressed the gathering and imparted his real-life experiences and advised graduands to concentrate on aspects such as self-awareness, the purpose of their studies, understanding their values, and having the will to take risks. Furthermore, he stressed on the significance of mentors in one’s life and the necessity of adapting to change.

Mr. Nikhil Damle, an alumnus of Harihar (1999 to 2001 batch), graciously imparted insights into his professional journey and technological advancements.

Further, Dr. Nandeesh Hiremath and Dr. T.G. Vijaya, presented the academic reports for their respective campuses. Some of the highlights of the reports includes curriculum revamp, infrastructure development, placements, admissions, faculty achievements, Managerial Development Programmes (MDPs), faculty publications, student publications, KIRIT 4.0 (a national-level real-time CASE analysis completion), and the new software procured during the academic year 2023-2024.

Graduates received their degree certificates, while the outstanding students were awarded with silver and gold medals. Also, meritorious students across multiple areas such as Finance, Marketing, HRM, and Business Analytics were awarded with the medals.  Ms. Shristi Bose, hailing from the Harihar campus, received the title of overall topper and was honored with the gold medal. Similarly, Ms. Diya Suthiv, representing the Pune campus received the gold medal for attaining the overall topper.

Furthermore, Mrs.Aditi Kirloskar, Vice President, of the Kirloskar Institute of Management, praised and congratulated the graduates on their outstanding achievement.

Mr. Shankar Iyer, Head Programme officer, Pune campus, delivered the vote of thanks. The convocation concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
