Kishtwar admin discuses Block, District Rural Road Plans under PMGSY Phase –III with PRI members
Kishtwar: Block and District Rural Road Plans for Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) Phase –III were today discussed here at a meeting of Block Development Council Chairpersons, District Development Council members and concerned department functionaries, chaired by District Development Commissioner, Ashok Sharma.
The PMGSY Phase- III envisages providing road connectivity to all habitations with a population of 250 persons.
Threadbare discussions regarding the objectives of Phase -III connectivity were held. The concerned functionaries informed that all villages having a population of 250 souls (as per census 2011) are eligible for road connectivity. The guidelines were circulated among DDC members and BDC Chairpersons for verification, feedback and comments.
The DC impressed upon all PRI members to ensure that no eligible habitation is left out of this phase and underscored the need to approve the Block Rural Road Plans (BRRPs) and District Rural Road Plan (DRRP) after due verification and caution.
He further directed XEN PMGSY Kishtwar to furnish the proposal immediately after due verification and vetting by PRIs so that all eligible villages as per the census 2011 shall be connected on mission mode.
