Kitchen gardens will be built in every school by MNREGA convergence; CM Chouhan dedicated 2500 kitchen sheds and 7100 kitchen gardens
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a nutrition garden (kitchen garden) will be built in every government school by convergence of MNREGA. If there is no place in schools, the kitchen garden can be made at other places in the village. Now the name of the kitchen gardens will be ‘Maa ki Bagiya’. Full contribution of students should be taken in the cleanliness of the school and the development and conservation of the Maa ki Bagiya.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing after the dedication of 2500 kitchen sheds and 7100 kitchen gardens constructed in the state from Minto Hall today. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Manoj Shrivastava was present in the programme.
We used to sweep in our school
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that earlier children used to give their full contribution to cleanliness and progress of the schools. We used to sweep in our school. There is no shame in the work of school hygiene etc. Students should do this.
Food should be beneficial, frugal and seasonal
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that food will be beneficial for the benefit of the body, mitbhuk ie limited quantity and according to the seasonal season, only then our health will be good. The purpose of making a nutrition garden in the school is to provide fresh and good vegetables to children for mid-day meals.
Food should be Hitbhuk, Mitbhuk and Ritubhuk
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that food should hitbhuk means beneficial for the body, mitbhuk means in limited quantity and ritubhuk , according to season, only then can our health be good. The purpose of making a kitchen garden in the school is to provide fresh and good vegetables to children for mid-day meals.
CM interacts with Sarpanch, Head Cook, Parents Teachers Association
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted virtually with Smt. Gunwanta Bisen sarpanch of Jungletola in Balaghat district, Shri Devendra Baghel, president of Parents Teachers Association of Utila village (Murar) in Gwalior district and Gayatri Devi. The Chief Minister congratulated them for constructing a good kitchen shed.
‘Maa ki Bagiya’ is the appropriate name
Smt. Sunita Maran, cook of self-help group, primary school of Phanda, Bhopal district, told Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that she has named the kitchen garden set up in the school as ‘Maa ki Bagiya’. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is a suitable name. Now all the kitchen gardens of the state will be called ‘Maa ki Bagiya’. I will name the kitchen garden of CM house also as “Maa ki Bagiya”.
