KL Deemed to be University and APSCHE Host State Entrepreneurship Promotional Summit

 

New Delhi : KL Deemed to be University, in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Higher Education Council (APSCHE) organised the State Entrepreneurship Promotional Summit at its campus in Andhra Pradesh. With over 700 students from various educational institutions across the state in attendance, the summit focused on its theme, Igniting Entrepreneurship Culture among students. The discussion was centered on three key points: viewing entrepreneurship as an alternate career choice, fostering entrepreneurship for a self-reliant India, and promoting entrepreneurship for all.

Distinguished representatives from higher education institutions and industry experts from across the country engaged in meaningful dialogues about cultivating an entrepreneurial culture in India. Dr. G. P. Saradhi Varma, Vice-Chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, expressed, “We are grateful to the keynote speakers, participants, and attendees for their invaluable contributions. The summit is designed to instill a culture of entrepreneurship among students, positioning Andhra Pradesh as India’s entrepreneurial hub.”

The chief guest for the event was Mr. Acharya Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman of the State Council of Higher Education. He emphasized that the state needs new innovations and that these should be spearheaded by the youth. He lauded the initiatives by the KL Atal Community Innovation Centre and KL Technology Incubators Foundation (KL TIF) for encouraging innovation among new entrepreneurs.

Among other prominent speakers were Prof. Hema Chandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE; Prof. P. Uma Maheshwar Devi, Vice Chairperson, APSCHE; Mr. Ravi Eswarapu, President-TIE, AP & CEO, A HUB; Ms. Vandana V, Chair, Yi Amaravati Chapter; Mr. Ramankanth Vallabhaneni, CEO, ACIC-KL Startups Foundation; Mr. Rajesh Damerla, CEO, DLK MegaMart, who address the audience.

R&D Director Dr. K. Sarath, ACIC CEO Mr. V. Raman Kant, KL TIF CEO, Mr. Alok Govil, along with Senior University officials, faculty members, and staff ensured successful conduct of the event.

Both the KL Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) and KL TIF of KL Deemed to be University are initiatives that align closely with the summit’s objectives. Backed by the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog, ACIC aims to have a national and global impact by empowering local entrepreneurs in underserved areas. Similarly, KL TIF aspires to become India’s ‘National Centre for Entrepreneurship,’ offering startups access to state-of-the-art labs, mentorship, and funding opportunities. These initiatives collectively aim to boost innovation and entrepreneurship both within the university and in the broader community.
