KL Deemed to be University Organises Conference to raise Awareness on Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicle Technology and Smart Grid
Taking a forward leap towards to stay well-versed with the latest and upcoming trends in the field of sustainable energy, KL Deemed to be University, organized the Government of India (DST-SERB) sponsored, “International Conference on Emerging Trends in Smart Grid, Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Technologies – SGREEVC-2022” from December 27 to 29, 2022. The three-day conference was organized by the department of electrical and electronics engineering of the University to provide a common podium for the exchange of ideas and discussion of the latest innovation in the fields. Organised at the Greenfields campus at Vaddeswaram, this KL conference was attended by renowned academicians, industry experts, and university officials to deliverkey note deliberations and expert opinions related to the upcoming trends that require immediate attention.

Sood, Ontario Tech University, Canada, Dr. Sheldon Williamson, Ontario Tech University, Canada, Dr.Surender Reddy Salkuti, Woosong University, South Korea, Dr. Satishbabu, Infineon, Bangalore, Dr. D. RiteshKeshri, VNIT, Nagpur, Dr. BalaKrishna Pamulaparthy, GE, Hyderabad, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera, IIT Patna, Dr. AltafBadar, NIT Warangal, and Dr. D. Koteswara Raju, NIT Silchar and other eminent speakers delivered insightful sessions that covered not just the renewable energy sector, but the complementary industries such as the Electric Vehicle (EV) segment.

The conference was planned for quality participation and discussion on current and future trends of research and advances in smart-grid technologies. The event saw a huge attendance by experts, technology enthusiasts, faculty and students alike. Out of 150 research articles received, 40 were selected to present in the conference. During the various talk sessions, experts shared the current trends from IITs, NITs, and the international industry, influencing the participants to align their learning and research accordingly.
The Convenor Dr. Arvind R Singh along with HoD, EEE Dr. A. Pandian and other faculty members, University officials, staff, students contributed to make this conference successful.
