KL Deemed to be University Post-Doctoral Researcher Earns Distinguished Research Honour
New Delhi : KL Deemed to be University takes immense pride in announcing the prestigious international recognition bestowed upon Dr. Shaik Chand Basha, a postdoctoral fellow from the Department of Biotechnology of the University. Dr. Basha has been appointed as an Associate Editor for the renowned international journal ‘Journal of Angiotherapy’. The journal, which is Scopus-indexed and ranked as a Q3 journal, features research in the field of Angiotherapy by esteemed scientists from around the world. It is noteworthy that Dr. Shaik Chand Basha is the first researcher from India to assume this role.
Dr. Basha’s notable work primarily revolves around neurodegenerative disorders, focusing intently on deciphering the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease. With the aid of advanced Computational tools, Dr. Basha has been focusing to uncover the intricacies of TREM2 receptors in this ailment. His findings were also showcased at various reputed relevant platforms. The International Neurochemistry Research Society elected him as the Ambassador of India to the Young Scholars Steering Committee (ISN-YSSC) in recognition of his research and contribution to neurochemistry. Dr. Basha is a post-doctoral fellow working under the mentorship of Dr. K.S. Jagannatha Rao, Pro-chancellor, KL Deemed to be University.
