Bangalore: KLAY (Kids Learning And You) Preschool and Day Care, through its Institute of Early Childhood Education and Development (IECED), has launched an upgraded edition of its flagship KLAY Preschool Teacher Training Program (KPTTP) to skill educators to impart learning in the post-COVID-19 world. Delivered to teachers online, the program has been designed to upskill them to effectively teach students over virtual platforms.

Early years education is evolving at breakneck speed owing to the pandemic and the program intends to train quality teachers to be abreast of the evolving teaching practices. Meghna Yadav, Head (Cons), Training and Development at IECED, KLAY Preschool and Daycare said, “With KLAY’s Preschool Teacher Training Program (KPTTP), we aim to enable educators and teaching aspirants in India to upgrade themselves with the latest pedagogy in the ECCE segment. The objective of the program is to improve the quality of primary education by imparting knowledge and understanding the science associated with child behaviour and the ‘why’ behind certain teaching tools. The curriculum has been designed keeping in mind the new normal in education i.e. a combination of both classroom and online teaching”.

Testimonials from the students of KPTTP:

“The course took me back to my school years and was a great feeling. With a mix of presentations and helpful videos shared by all the teachers, the sessions have helped me a lot in understanding the concepts. The way the concepts are explained, makes it easy to connect with real-life scenarios thereby making it so simple to understand. I thank everyone for a great course!” – Lavanya Bagh, student, KPTTP, 2019

“Teaching has always been my passion. Having a teaching experience of 6 years there was always something that I had to learn, to experience and to inculcate in my profession. I had been teaching nursing students all this while. It was a great experience all together. It is another great channel for me to learn more as we reach out to kids. I am thankful that I have found the right platform to upgrade my skills. KLAY is special to me. The training program is so interesting and informative, and it gave me insights to all the core subjects. We have the best educators and trainers who make learning a wonderful experience.” – Christina, student, KPTTP (online), 2020
