Korea Maritime & Ocean University Organizes College of Maritime Affairs, 2022 Spring Graduation Ceremony
The College of Maritime Affairs ( Dean Kim Jin-kwon ) will hold the 2022 spring semester graduation ceremony in the main auditorium on the 26th . This graduation ceremony is the first of the 2022 bachelor’s degree commencement ceremonies held at all universities nationwide .
The graduation ceremony, which starts at 10:30 a.m. on this day , is attended by President Doh Do-hee, faculty members of the College of Maritime Affairs , recipients of degrees and their parents , current students, and emeritus professors .
After the opening ceremony in the auditorium, congratulatory remarks by parents and guests including the president , degree conferment , school song and hat toss , and closing ceremony will be held in the order . After the graduation ceremony, awarding certificates for excellent graduates is held in the seminar room of the new building of the Maritime University .
A total of 426 maritime college students (75th class) are graduating this year : ▲ Maritime Transportation Science Department 72 ▲ Engine System Engineering Department 54 ▲ Navigation Department 76 ▲ Engine Engineering Department 57 ▲ Coast Guard Department 33 ▲ Offshore Plant Operation Department 31 ▲ Maritime Affairs Department of IT Engineering 49 ▲ Division of Maritime and Global Studies 54 .
Graduates of the Korea Maritime and Ocean University College of Maritime Affairs, who have completed the nautical training course, which includes onboarding practice, plan to gain practical experience by boarding merchant ships after graduation, and contribute to the development of Korea’s shipping and maritime industries .
“ The shipping , shipbuilding , and maritime industries, which have global marketability, account for a significant portion of Korea’s total exports . He said that Korea Maritime and Ocean University has a strength that has departments in all fields of the marine industry ecosystem . ” He said , “ I support the graduates who are going to a new chapter in their lives after successfully completing their studies at Korea Maritime and Ocean University, which will remain as their alma mater forever . ”
